Located on the historic water street in Henderson, Nevada 20 minutes to the east of Las Vegas there’s a new Casino in town! Formerly the Eldorado a Henderson staple sitting directly across from the Rainbow Club Casino and Next door to the Brand new Henderson Lifeguard arena will soon reopen as The Pass Casino; things seem to be moving in a positive way for one of the safest cities in the country. It’s not a total renovation but there will be two brand new bars, a new banquet room, a renovated cafe, and new Italian restaurant. What we are most excited about is the sports book which will actually be from Circa hotel & casino and I am totally digging the downtown Las Vegas/Henderson connection so smart! Also the new fine dining restaurant located inside, if you remember Spiedini that was previously located in the Marriott with the famous master chef Gustav will be writing the menu, it’s sure to be tasty! Looking to give Henderson a bit of an upgrade is an understatement and we are here for it!

We can’t really call them dayclubs anymore more like day-lounging. Here are the top pools you have to see even in a pandemic. Most dayclubs are Friday – Sunday and are under some capacity restrictions until further notice.
- Stadium Swim (Crica) – the newest kid on the block boasts the biggest and baddest pool around. With gigantic televisions screens on all sides you can’t miss this soon to be favorite spot for all Las Vegas pool goers.
- Wet Republic (MGM) – with no Rehab this year we are calling it a WAP summer with a Wet And Republic Vegas all summer long.
- Boulevard pool (Cosmo) – cosmopolitan rooftop experience that’s been a staple in years past with its dome or no dome depending on the season.. it’s sure to give you the thrills your looking for with a beautiful view of the city. They also have dive in movies.
- Encore Beach Club (Wynn/Encore) – a pool paradise that is a favorite to a who’s who in town. Probably the best location and the easiest to social distance if your into that!
- Daylight (Mandalay Bay) – head to the beginning of the strip to this Lux pool and lounge in style.
- Go Pool (flamingo)- Actually open on Mondays!!! Head to margarita Monday’s from the original mobster casino.
- Citrus Pool (the D) – 2020 gold winner for best hotel pool downtown it’s bright and Instagram worthy.
Break out your quarentini’s Las Vegas is open for Memorial Day weekend. If you thought the beach club wouldn’t survive your wrong; they have pivoted into more of lounges. Safety being the number 1 priority in this new world, new Vegas has virtual menus, masked bikini cocktail waitresses, virtual pool tours if you want to see before you go and limited capacity cabanas. Yes we are sad to see the packed cabanas with people standing on couches but for now you will be limited to 6 guests per cabana. You can no longer walk up to the bar and order, but relax you wanted to stay by the pool anyway. As of now there are no big name DJ’s scheduled as dancing is not encouraged. The distinguished “guest list” may also be extinct as reservations are required and general admission will be an exception rather than a rule. If you have hit up your usual promoter you might find out they have left Vegas for greener pastures, or had a recent career change. Prices range from $400 for a day bed to $2000 for a grand cabana.
Daylight Beach – March 5
EBC Pool- March 5
The Pool Marquee – March 5
Wet Republic – March 5 ($250 daybeds & saltwater pool)
Tao Beach – Closed for renovations
Citrus Pool – TBD
Sahara Pool – TBD
We won’t be putting some of your old favorites on here, just the ones that the experience is fun without leaving you feeling like you need a hot shower to hop into the hotel bed because it was so packed or not socially distant.
1- Sahara – a local favorite it has all the experience of social distance fun! The way the games are spaced leaves you feeling very safe while being one of the few places they don’t have plexiglass around the table games.
2- the Wynn – they have the highest standard of service on the strip hands down! Great shopping and dining, they do a great job at making you feel welcome and good energy. Not only that but it’s the only casino that has paid its employees thru the entire quarantine.
3- Caesar’s – ok so we did put one old favorite on here. Can’t go wrong with one of the originals. But mostly there is a ton of things to do at this casino and it’s gorgeous so that’s why they made the list. You constantly see people wiping down machines, which is a good thing!
4- Vdara – just looking for a cool hotel without having the responsibility or pressure of gambling. Directly in the middle of town location is great! Not packed with a million people (probably because no gambling) and it’s location is great for places to eat and shop.
occupancy has just increased! And we are getting ready for an awesome Memorial Day weekend safely!!!
Here’s some dopely (if that’s a word) romantic breakfast spots in Vegas that will give you all the Valentine vibes and lots of Instagram worthy photos, which is what us women really want these days anyway.
Eat LV – I snuck this one in because the fooooood is mouth watering! Forget the scenery this little nook is located in downtown Vegas. For tourist – no, not the strip, downtown to us is anything past Fremont. The menu changes daily and no you can’t get what you had that one day, says so on the menu.
Cafe Lola – with beautiful floral decor the place sparkles of Instagram gimmick. They have cool things like house made cotton candy teddy bears and champagne tea brunch’s. Very, very cool events like daddy and daughter princess teas, and grinch high tea for the holidays, they give you two locations to enjoy. They even have a pop up in Macy’s during the holiday.
Mrs coco – a pink paradise! This place is the Ultimate in Instagram Worthy, and beyond beautiful. This is located in Lake Las Vegas which makes it even more spectacular because the peace, the lake, and the calm. Oh and everything tastes amazing with that decor!
Le Cafe Du Val – cute French bistro with two locations in Henderson and Summerlin. The breads and pastries are great! They have mimosas, avocado toast, salmon lox and some decent coffee. Don’t forget pinky out!
Park on Freemont – super whimscal Alice and wonderland theme. The outdoor area is amazing especially in Las Vegas. Doesn’t look like much but it’s a show stopper and the drinks are delish. Head on down the rabbit hole and grab those whimsy vibes.
Catch LV – If your on this planet you have seen a catch IG post. The floral background is a standout on Instagram. This is a dinner spot but you can take the pictures at any time just can’t see the rest of the amazing greenery.
Public House – this is the place that has the tree coming through the tables. It was previously community seating so I am not sure how that is working now but the decor is super sustainable if you get me. Great, great, great coffee! Cozy and a great local spot to eat at.
Lavo – I am local I have to put Lavo on the list. Uhhh not quit sure how this works because I remember dancing on tables and being squished beyond belief by crowds but hey I’m sure they figured it out right? For reservations Letzgitit.com not many promoters left but this one has the direct link.
Don’t forget to make reservations or you won’t get in. We are still at 25% occupancy in Las Vegas and Henderson.
As some of my favorite dining spots try to figure out how to survive, I have noticed some newbies in town that have made me pretty Happy. Since my favorite foodie places are bakeries and lunch spots, heres a few that will make you a foodie fan. Most are located in Henderson and Summerlin; I can only vouch for Henderson locations if your a local count on making these some staples in your everyday life; if your a tourist give them a try and help out our local community.
Hella Bakery – This is a Greek restaurant and although it says its a bakery, the best meal is Lunch. They have Lamb Chops, Meditarranean Kabobs and Gyros. The food is fresh and flavorfull; the environment is charming. The owner is usually around and he loves to talk so don’t be afraid to go chit chat with him.
Vegas Wine & Cheese – Ok so its not a restaurant. However, if your a Charcuterie fan or just love cheese like I do this is the place to go. They make custom Charcuteries starting at $35 for two people and $50 dollar option for 4 – 6 guests. They can do as much or as little as you want. I highly recommend the Fontina Meat and they have a goat Brie that is AMAZING!!! Kinda expensive think luxury.
The Butchers Block – In the same complex as Vegas Wine & Cheese there is this great butcher, that also has a location in the Summerlin area. If you want some fresh salmon, or a nice sized lobster, this is the place. Take home a burger for the night, they definitely got you with the “Best Burger” in town.
Harvest Bread Company – If you have never been here, you probably dont live in or just moved to Vegas. Fresh baked bread daily, and not just white or wheat. This is actually my favorite place during Halloween the Pumkin Bread is beyond! Try it out!
Bourbon & Biscuits – Do you like barbecue? Well this is a bbq place with smoked meats. Now it is kinda expensive but its delicious. I cant vouch for it all nor the sides but the chicken is finger licking and the ribs are fall off the bone.
Pit Stop – If your up for a drive close to Boulder City is the best little burger place outside of the city. They also have an amazing Turkey Burger and this restaurant has been here for more than 15 years. Try the sauteed mushrooms with it.
Gabi Coffee & Bakery – This is the Hidden Cafe if you have ever heard of it. A heavy anachronistic wooden door and an open sign shows you the way. You will love the ambience as its set up with an atrium feel. The coffees and boboa teas are so pretty.
Sapparo Sushi – I only like this because of the rotating sushi. If your looking for a cool place to bring a date, its interactive and the sushi is fresh.
Mrs. Coco’s – Head down to Lake Las Vegas and jump into a different world. A pink palace with flowers and beautiful decor. A great place for a Galentine party or Bachelorette, maybe take your daughters. They have wonderful coffees and lattes, just enjoy the view.
If you cant tell I love bakeries and lunch spots! Enjoy.. and please let me know what you think.
Still planning your Las Vegas vacation? Here’s some tips for the new restrictions in November/December we have to tell you about so you can have an awesome vacay!
Tip 1: Reservation, Reservation, Reservation!!! You need a reservation to eat at a restaurant book early and if your going to be late or early or add guests; call the restaurant.
Tip 2: No more than 4 to a table. I know it totally bites, but only 4 people to a table cut your party in half if you must.
Tip 3: No more than 50 guests at an event or 25% of capacity whichever is less… so 50 people.
Tip 4: There is a lot of outdoor activities you can do. Book ATV’s, go to the “beach.” Just outside Las Vegas is full of fun outdoor things to do. Lake Las Vegas, lake Meade, Boulder Beach, Red Rock, Mount Charleston, Lee Canyon, and the Hoover Dam.
Tip 5: All “entertainment” at 25% be aware and be sure to call in advance!!! Back to tip 1… reservations, reservations, reservations.
Tip 6: Mask Up! Private function or public area wear your mask! It’s mandated now. Outdoors or in it doesn’t matter anymore. Stay safe and stay with your mask!
here are some things to do in case we shut down again:
- Read a book! If your looking for a fun good read try Gucci Mane’s new book, easy read and it’s very interesting.
- learn how to cook a new recipe. Go on Pinterest and learn to cook a recipe of something you have in your fridge. Take inventory first. Chop everything early so other ppl can help without getting in the way.
- learn a dance routine. There are tons of dance programs online right now. Learn some hip hop or salsa something fun!
- Yoga! Take an at home yoga class. So calming and relaxing no yoga Matt needed you can use a towel.
- Back to school! Go back to school online of course. So much to learn don’t let anything stop you!
- gardening. Plant some shrubs, even if you only have a patio. If you can’t keep anything alive try a cactus or succulent that you basically have to try to kill.
- Picnic. Go outside and have a picnic. U can make the sandwiches or buy some from subway. Get a bottle of Stella Rosa my fav wine and enjoy some bae time with ur special bae.
- Lake. Lake trip! So much fun! I suggest buying a small boat or something to actually do on the water. Also good to have foldable chairs, canopy, ice chest, and grill.
- Make cocktails. Learn how to make a cocktail. Such a fun date night!
- Don’t get down on yourself if you do nothing. If you been working all your life you deserve it!!
enjoy! If you can think of anything else let us know!!!
